About Central New England K9 Academy
Rooted in a Lifelong Passion for Dogs. Grounded in 30 Years of Experience.
Meet the Trainer
Central New England K9 Academy was founded by Matt Fischer, a dog trainer, behaviorist, and lifelong outdoorsman. He has dedicated the past thirty years to helping dogs and their owners thrive together.
Matt grew up in Connecticut and spent his early years between Connecticut and Maine. He developed a deep love for the outdoors during this time. Fishing, camping, and hunting became a way of life. Some of his most cherished memories include hunting with his grandfather and uncle. It was during these years, as he started working with his own dogs in hunting and working roles, that his passion for dog training began.
In 1999, Matt made that passion official by completing his professional training program at New England K9 Center. Since then, he has built a remarkable career as a dog behaviorist, working in various areas. His expertise includes reactive and aggressive dog rehabilitation, obedience training, personal protection, hunting and sport dog development.
Today, Matt shares his extensive experience in Grafton, New Hampshire, where Central New England K9 Academy proudly serves dog owners throughout New England. Whether you're facing a challenging behavior issue or simply want a dog you can take anywhere with confidence, Matt's approach remains the same: understand the dog, empower the owner, and create a lasting partnership.

Our Philosophy
We believe that no dog is beyond help, and no owner is beyond learning. Every session at Central New England K9 Academy aims to improve communication and connection between dog and human. This creates a balanced companionship that benefits both.
Our methods are practical and effective. We always tailor them to your dog's unique personality and your family's lifestyle. The best-trained dog is the one whose training truly works in your day-to-day life.
